Old Beacon Hill was once an old railway station, now converted into beautiful self catering cottages set in stunning surrounds and the ideal platform to explore KwaZulu Natal. The cottages are tastefully decorated and contain everything you need to make your stay a comfortable one. Each property has their own large private garden (of course with Braai facilities) and there are ample grounds to explore that contain a stream, plenty of wildlife, a pond to picnic by, a gazebo (torch-lit in the evenings) all set to a back drop of hills and glorious sunsets.
Old Beacon Hill is positioned in the Lowlands and set in the tranquil, picturesque KwaZulu-Natal countryside. Unbelievably this haven is less than a 2 minute drive to the N3 where there is easy access to all that is Drakensberg and its mountainous environment, the Midlands Meander if its arts, crafts, food and wine you’re after and on our doorstep there are beautiful drives and walks where you can see the Bushman’s River in all its glory and the first of many historical Battlefield sites. You may want to visit a game reserve - the popular Weenan is not far away where you can see rhino, giraffe, zebra and a whole host of other marvellous creatures.
